I’m a Taylor Hospice volunteer who had the pleasure of being assigned Mr. Laws in 2006. As the years went by, he became more than a patient, he became my friend.
For your dad, being in the hospice program meant a flurry of visitors and activity whose primary focus was his comfort. Even when your dad was out of the program, I continued to visit him because I had developed a bond with him. He always knew who I was and when I was visiting, because my pockets contained peppermint patties!
Your Dad was one of the finest gentlemen I have had the pleasure of knowing. He was gracious, polite and a nice human being. It was a pleasure and honor to have known your Dad. He touched my heart and I will carry him with me always.
My deepest condolences.
