Craig Allen Hampton, was born to the late Mae and George W. Hampton Sr., on June 3, 1959 in Philadelphia , PA.. He was the youngest of nine. He moved to Chester at the age of four.
He received his education in the Chester Upland School District. He later worked as a busboy at the Marriott's Ward Grill to finance his education in welding school. Over the years Craig held several different occupations including armed security guard and welding. He was struck by an illness that left him disabled and prevented him from fulfilling his duties. Craig held a strong interest in plumbing and would read all the latest information about it. He'd often ask his brother Reggie about starting a business together. He recently purchased the tools in hopes of fulfilling his dream. He had a great love for sports, news and long walks, As a youth he played basketball for the Eureka Red Sox's . He could often be seen taking his daily 5 mile walk around the City of Chester.
Craig never had children of his own but was blessed with an abundance of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

On Wednesday April 15, 2009 the Lord dispatched an angel to Crozier Chester Medical Center to bring his son Craig Allen Hampton, 49 to his heavenly home. Craig was a good son, brother, uncle and loved by all.
