Bertha Lee Edwards was born from the union of Ellise Shaw and Charles Edwards. She was born in Baltimore, MD, however, she resided in Chester, PA her entire life. Bertha was educated in Chester Upland School District. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant because she enjoyed working with the elderly. When she took one on us to work with her we would say “eeewww how could you do this work”. She would proudly say “because I like helping people that cannot help themselves.
On October 10, 200 God called Bertha home to end all her suffering. She leaves to cherish her memory one son Jeremy Allen Edwards, two daughters, Raven Edwards and LarVar Edwards, 10 grandchildren, Chie Smyre, Michael Howard, Jr., Lamont Collins, Jr., Lamere Edwards, Najah Taylor, and Zenobia, Zakirah, RaVone, Rayne and Mya Edwards.
