Beatrice H. Pollard died on Friday, April 3, 2009 at Sterling Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Media, PA. She was born in Franktown, Virginia and moved to Media, PA in 1958. She resided in Chester, PA for over 30 years. She was a member of the former Unity Baptist Chester now New Christian Fellowship Center in Chester, PA. She was the daughter of the late Will & Marion Satchell Thomas and the wife of the late Doris Pollard who passed away in 2004.
Survivors: one son, Alvin Thomas, one daughter in-law Dolores Hawkins Thomas, Media, PA, three sisters, Audrey Fitchett, Nassawadox, VA, Dora Grant, Painter, VA, Mary Williams, Exmore, VA, one sister in-law, Reba Thomas, Alexandria, VA, four grandchildren, April Thomas McDowell, Jean Thomas, Julani (Jule) Thomas Ghana, Garry D. Thomas, Sr; six great grandchildren, Darryl, Drew Michael, Darryl, Jr. Jamie, Myles, Sharif, 3 special nieces Jean DeShields, Wallingford, PA, Virginia Bean Media, PA Lana McCoy Upper Darby, PA a host of nieces & nephews.
