Beatrice Pansey Dobson was born on December 14, 1919 in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She was a long time resident of Chester PA and due to ailment needed to relocate to Michigan where she has resided with our family since 2003.

She went by many names.all variations on a similar theme. Bea, Bea Bea, Mom, Nanny and Miss Bea. Her fathers name was Willie Wade Robertson and her mother was Ella Bell. She was married to Leroy Dobson (deceased) of Chester Pa for just shy of 57 years. They had one child Beatrice Ella Dixon (married to Franklin J Dixon) and two grandchildren Latoya Y. Dixon and Anthony L. Dixon (married to Emily Dixon). No great grands as yet. All reside in Novi Michigan

She comes from a large family where she was the youngest of 10 children 6 brothers (William "Bubba" Robertson, James Robertson, Archie "Miller" Robertson, John Robertson, Julius Robertson, David Robertson) and 3 sisters (Willie McNeal, Willie Wade "Top" Wesley and Annie Davis) all of her siblings have proceeded her in death. She has two surviving sisters in law (Dorothy Robertson and Helen Wilson). She is also survived by a slew of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her Daughter Beatrice "Peaches" Dixon son in law Frank Dixon granddaughter Latoya Dixon grandson Anthony Dixon and his wife Emily Dixon.

She was a member of Thomas M Thomas church in Chester since she was a little girl (I think 10 years old) As an adult she served as an usher, a deacon and part of the Westminster Progressive Circle at the church.

She was a homemaker and was well known for her fried Chicken and general hospitality. She had a great sense of style and liked entertaining as often as possible. When she was laughing it up with close friends and family was when she was in her glory. She loved us all very much and our triumphs were her own. She was fiercely loyal and principled. A good part of her days were devoted to the loving care or her family. When not tending to family she would spend as much time as possible perched on the gossip bench in the front room catching up on the days events with her best friend Mrs. Isabel Jones. A good chat would always set her right.

She was active and curious up until a series of hip injuries left her incapacitated for a time. With each injury we lost a little bit of her until the change in character was finally attributed to Dementia and then Alzheimer's. My mother and myself were her primary care givers after she became bedridden and completely dependent. It was finally her bodies inability to recall its' function that took her from us today 09 March 2009 approximately 7:45AM.

She died with her daughter at her side in her bed at home. The transition was a peaceful one and one that she succumbed to after an almost 5 year battle.

She was loved as much as she was loving. She will be missed beyond measure.
