Harold H. Rothwell, Jr. known to his family as Brother and to his friends as "Big Rock" was born to Gloria Rothwell and the Late Harold H. Rothwell, Sr. on January 23, 1943 in Chester, Pennsylvania. He departed this life on March 10, 2009.
Rock met the love of his life, Bessie in 1992, they had one daughter, Rudysha, and they were married on August 30, 2003. Rock was a great father; nothing was too good for his daughter, Rudy. Rock also had eight other children; his stepdaughter Beatrice Jones predeceases him in death
He was a member and Past Master of the Linwood Lodge #87, F. & A.M. (Prince Hall). Big Rock was a great artist and good with electronics. Everyone knew Rock, and his favorite saying to greet his friends was "HEY HEY".
Harold leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Bessie; eight children: Harold H. III, Terry Worley, Michael Gilchrist, Rockiesha H., Harrell, and Rudysha; two stepchildren: Darryl Worley, and Cheryl Womack; twelve grandchildren; his mother: Gloria Rothwell; five brothers: Brian, Leroy, Dennis, Vernon, and Rodney; two sisters: Barbara Dennis, and Delores Bulluck; six sisters-in-law: Gretchen Rothwell, Joyce Rothwell, Pamela Rothwell, Darlene Rothwell, AnnaKatrice Pinson, and Sybrenia Birch; two brothers-in-law: Rudolph Birch, and Donnie Pinson; mother-in-law: Sybrenia Birch; two special friends: Bruce Thomas, and J. D. Crowell. And many other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed.
