Dorothy was born January 8, 1927 in Daytona Beach, Florida. The first of four daughters born to Isaac Jones and Nettie Reese. The family moved to Chester, Pennsylvania in 1944.
Dorothy worked at West Chester University for many years and retired at the age of 66. Dorothy loved to cook and clean her house. During the summer months one would often see her cutting her hedges and cleaning the porch. Dorothy was well known in the neighborhood
as Mom Dot.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Renee Cephas, Shelly Mack and Darvi Mack; a son-in-law, Nate Cephas; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, George Jones who passed away in January, 2002, her mother, three sisters, one niece and two nephews.
