"We can't remember when you were not there." Lillie Jim King Stephens Dale was born February 22, 1944 in Duplin County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Estuce James King and Irene Stephens-Allen. When Lillie was very young, the family moved to Chester, Pennsylvania. Lillie attended and received an education from Chester High School.
She was a dedicated mentor, encourager, and friend with a wonderful sense of humor. Most important, Lillie was an excellent and dedicated counselor at Elwyn Institues, committed to making a difference in every person's life regardless of their position or age. She was a gifted self taught seamstress who truly loved working with her hands and different textured fabrics creating unique designs. She also loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Lillie was sweet, loving, exciting and giving person.
Lillie was united in marriage with Oliver R. Dale on April 20, 1963. They were blessed with one adoring child, Renee D. Dale. Lillie was a loving wife and mother. Lillie entered into rest on the morning of Monday, September 15, 2008. She was predeceased by her father Eustuce.
Lillie leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Oliver A. Dale; daughter Renee D. Dale; sisters, Johnnie Mae Richardson, Geneva Francis, Jeanette Almwood, Madeline Vaugh, Dale Armwood, Jane Dukes, and Audrey King; brothers, Larry Wicks and Avery King; nieces, Doretha Grantham and Terrica Granthem; nephew, William H. Grantham and a host of other relatives and friends.
