David N. Bobo, Jr. was born on May 3, 1920 to the late David N. Sr., and Edith E. Bobo in Chester, Pennsylvania. David received his education in the public school system in Chester, Pennsylvania, graduating from Chester High School. He later graduated from the Philadelphia School of Real Estate. David was a lifelong member of St. Daniel's United Methodist Church where he was a member of Class No. 11.

David was united in holy matrimony to Marie S. Bobo October 1, 1938. This union was blessed with two children, Brenda B. Green, who preceded him in death, and David N. Bobo, III.

David was employed as a licensed professional salesman for the Schenley Affiliated Brands Corporation from 1959 until his retirement in 1981. He also served as Brand Manager for several popular distilled products. In 1972 he received the Schenley Control States "Man of the Year" award.

David enjoyed both civic and fraternal organizations. He was a charter member of the Board of Directors of the West Branch Y.M.C.A., and received the award for serving as captain of the team that raised the most money in the drive that brought a "Branch" Y.M.C.A. to Chester. David was also an organizer of the Y's Men's Club and member of the Chester Branch NAACP. In 1980 he received the Four Chaplains "Legion Merit" award.

David's fraternal affiliations consisted of: Past Master of Eastern Light Lodge No. 46, Past President of the Elite Square Club, member of Charles E. Gordon Consistory No. 65, A.A.S.R. of Freemasonry; District Deputy Grand Master of the Second Masonic District, and Past President of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge Temple Association. In 1999 he received his thirty-third degree in Cincinnati, Ohio. David liked all sports, but his main sport was fishing which he actively pursued. In his leisure time he could be found fishing on his boat somewhere in the Delaware or Chesapeake Bay. He was a charter member of the Hillside Fishing Club of Chester.

David's aim was to be a friend to man and help someone along the way. David quietly departed this life and passed into glory on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Crozer Chester Medical Center, Chester, Pennsylvania.

David N. Bobo, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Marie S. Bobo; son, David N.
